WORDPRESS / WOOCOMMERCE / PERFORMANCE
Build, improve and support WordPress websites.
I build WordPress and WooCommerce websites from scratch, but a large part of my work starts with something that already exists: a site that needs to be faster, easier to manage, more reliable or simply better at doing its job.
I work directly with businesses and as technical support for agencies that need experienced WordPress capacity without adding another full-time developer.
01
WORDPRESS DEVELOPMENT
WordPress websites built for the way they will actually be used.
A good WordPress site should not become difficult to manage the moment the developer leaves. I build sites around native WordPress and Gutenberg wherever that makes sense, with a structure that stays understandable for the people who will maintain it afterwards.
That can mean a new company website, a service site, a landing page or a rebuild of something that has accumulated too much technical baggage.
- New WordPress websites
- Gutenberg / block-based builds
- Custom layouts and functionality
- Existing site rebuilds
- Multilingual websites
- Forms and third-party integrations
- Migrations and hosting changes
I do not add complexity simply because WordPress allows it. The goal is a site that is flexible enough for the business without requiring six plugins to move a heading three pixels to the left.
02
WOOCOMMERCE
Online stores need more than products and a checkout.
WooCommerce can support anything from a relatively small catalogue to a technically complicated store, but the structure matters early.
I work on new WooCommerce builds as well as existing stores that need their catalogue, checkout, integrations or performance improved.
- WooCommerce setup and development
- Categories, attributes and product structure
- Product imports and catalogue cleanup
- Shipping and payment configuration
- Checkout improvements
- Product filtering and compatibility data
- Courier and third-party integrations
- Troubleshooting existing stores
The visual storefront is only one part of the project. Product data, order flow and the systems around WooCommerce need to make sense too.
03
PERFORMANCE & TECHNICAL SEO
A faster website is useful when it is still a useful website.
I treat performance as part of development, not as something added at the end with a caching plugin.
That means looking at what is actually slowing the site down: images, scripts, fonts, plugins, database behaviour, caching, hosting or the way the theme itself has been built.
The same principle applies to technical and on-site SEO. Search visibility depends partly on whether the site gives search engines a clean, understandable structure in the first place.
- WordPress performance audits and fixes
- Core Web Vitals improvements
- Image and asset optimisation
- Database and autoload analysis
- Caching configuration
- Technical SEO
- On-page structure
- Internal linking
- Redirects and migration SEO
- Local SEO foundations
On one current client site, that approach produces a Lighthouse result of 99 / 100 / 100 / 100 while the site remains a real multilingual business website with images, forms and SEO content.

EXISTING SITES & TROUBLESHOOTING
Sometimes the right project is not a rebuild.
A lot of WordPress work starts with a site that is already online.
Something has broken. The checkout behaves strangely. An update created a conflict. The site became slow. Nobody is quite sure why a piece of functionality works the way it does anymore.
I can step into an existing project, diagnose the problem and improve what is already there without treating a complete rebuild as the default answer.
- WordPress troubleshooting
- Plugin and theme conflicts
- Broken layouts or functionality
- WooCommerce problems
- Performance bottlenecks
- Updates and maintenance
- Hosting and migration issues
- Technical cleanup after previous developers
Sometimes rebuilding is the right answer. Quite often it is not.
05
FOR AGENCIES
Extra WordPress capacity when you need it.
I also work with web, design and marketing agencies that need someone to take over WordPress or WooCommerce work without adding permanent headcount.
That may be a complete build, overflow work, troubleshooting, optimisation or technical support on an existing client project.
I can work behind the scenes and white-label where needed.
06
HOW I WORK
Practical decisions before technical theatre.
I usually start by understanding the existing situation, the business goal and the constraints. Then I decide what actually needs to be built or changed.
01
Understand
Goals, current setup, requirements and problems.
02
Plan
Structure, technical approach and priorities.
03
Build
Development, testing, optimisation and integration.
04
Launch & Support
Final checks, deployment and what happens afterwards.
